Granary Cottage

This delightful Self Catering Granary Cottage is set over two floors, offering cosy accommodation that feels surprisingly spacious.

Things You'll Love About Our Self Catering Granary Cottage

The charming 'Granary' offers a cosy cottage that was originally the corn storage shed for the farm, hence the name. With the large beams and high bedroom ceiling, this is a special cottage. It has a lovely patio area outside, a perfect setting to enjoy your meals on a sunny evening.

More Details

The ground floor offers an open plan area that includes the kitchen, living and dining areas. The kitchen is well-equipped with utensils, crockery and cutlery, as well as a microwave, fridge freezer and washing machine. The lounge area has a large comfortable sofa bed and lounge chairs and also a timber dining table; this will comfortably seat four people. Granary Cottage has a sofa bed which is available for occasional use.

This cottage has a huge frontage area, with a patio and outdoor seating. Relax and marvel at the beautiful scenery.

Climb the winding stairs, and you'll discover the main bedroom and shower room. The bedroom features zip linked beds; this means you can choose between two singles beds or one king-size bed. The room is delightful and has been redecorated and finished to a high standard. We pride ourselves on providing stylish accommodation for all our guests

As with all our self-catering accommodation, you are also entitled to private and exclusive use of our swimming pool for one hour a day, every day, throughout your stay with us.

Finished with exposed beams all through the building, Granary Cottage offers a wonderful romantic hideaway.

Things You Need To Know

Because this cottage is on two floors, it is not ideal for wheelchair users or small children; however, we can provide stair gates if required. The other point to mention is that the bathroom only has a shower and no bath due to the shape and size of the room.

Local Area

Historical Abingdon became the county town of Berkshire sometime after receiving its Royal Charter in 1556. It is a market town and civil parish in England.

This breathtaking town located just six miles south-west of Oxford was formally a county town of Berkshire but had a slight name change in 2012 to become Abingdon-on-Thames.

Abingdon town centre refurbished in 2007 as part of the council's redevelopment plan took on a great new look. All work was in keeping with the surrounding area.

Come and discover this delightful town for yourself, explore and learn its history, there's so much to see and do!

In 1084, William the Conqueror celebrated and enjoyed Easter at the Abbey. He then left his son, the future Henry I, to be educated there.
